Written anything lately? And a note about Turkeys.

A few notes before we dive into the pleasures of writing.
  • NaNoWriMo!!!!!!!!! That's right people! Its coming up soon... how many of you are counting down the days?
  • Thanksgiving Free-write...yes, we normally do holiday free-writes, so get your turkey caps on!
Anyway, about our writing....

I did a Friday Freewrite today for my writing class. You are welcome to do it as well. The 3 words are Clouds Piano Mirror  I had a lot of fun with this one.

(This story is not related to the previous story I posted. Thank you for your comments on that.)

"Beep-Beep-Beep!" 6:00am. Time to get up. Michelle swung her feet over the side of her bed and directly into a waiting pair of slippers. Walking sleepily over to the window in her nightgown, she sighed, not fully ready for the busy day ahead. She pulled open the curtains. The clouds hadn't parted yet. It was going to be cold today. Michelle shuffeled to her bureau and picked up her list of things to do. She read to herself, "1.Walk around block.2.Work from 7:45 until 12. 3.Walk around block again. 4. Work from 1 until 6:00. 5. Have dinner. 6.Go to 8pm piano concert with Hannah and Noel. 7.Bed." She placed the list back on the bureau and stared at herself in the mirror. Her hair was a mess, her nightgown was rumpled and her eyes still looked sleepy and tired. Nevertheless, the day must go on!---or whatever that saying was... Within ten minutes, Michelle was showered, combed and dressed, ready for a brisk morning walk around the block. After one last confident look in the mirror, Michelle turned to go and begin her day.

So, as usual, comment! Tell me what you think! I do a lot of Friday free-writes, so I am open to tips, comments, concerns and questions!

Happy Writing, don't forget about NaNoWriMo!!!!!!!!!

I really like the way you started that story. It was very descriptive and I could easily see my self in that position on a morning like that.
